When guitarist Zane Stuchbery was dropping acid one Tuesday afternoon he looked up into the radiant New south wales sky and noticed how purple it looked, he was not sure if it was the Acid or Pollution. The next day he turned to his friends and proposed as a band name they should call them self's 'The Purple Skies' and the legacy began. But sadly after making myspace pages the band had realized that there already existed a band called the purple skies... So once again guitarist Zane Stuchbery found him self in a gutter with a hang over from the heavy amounts of LSD, and that's how we came up with the name 'Around the Esplanade'. The End
